515_Richardson_Lounge

A number of things made this job a little interesting...

The colour for one. I love Johnstone's Durable Matt. The tint is the same as on the cards, and it's so workable. Unlike Dulux Diamond Matt - which, incidentally dries like sandpaper - I think.

It's a light muted duck-egg. We were all quite struck.
Definitely recommending where appropriate.

This threshold had lifted, and so, every time it was stepped on there was a 5mm bounce in it.

Cut, lifted, old glue removed, thinned down pva applied to concrete, solvent grabfast applied, stuck down, sanded back then coated three times with antique pine stain.

514_Newbold; Wooden Chests

Using the vac sander to good effect.

They were both finished in 2 coats of oil eggshell (white).
The one behind I painted in Aluminium primer, 2x QD Undercoat.
DeWalt sander and Henry Hoover. All I did was get some 'Pond Hose' from B&Q - Perfect fit!!!

Not quite as effective as a Festool - but at about a quarter of the price - I'm laughing!!!

513_Hornchurch Kingdom Hall Project

A couple of days voluntary labour.

Getting a team together and concentrating on a travelling minister's flat.

Not overly impressed with this shot Tom.

512_Elliston_Sprayed Bedroom Furniture

I have a great guy in Colchester who, when it comes to spraying
is an absolute perfectionist.

(Farrow & Ball)

I'm so please I found him.
Although I will say, that unless you have a fair amount of things to be sprayed, it's not really cost effective. The same applies to paint, when I think about it :D
