00422_Fiddemore (Priests Lane)

I thought this was going to be straight forward,
but the walls set me back a day or so unfortunately...

External walls lined with polystyrene. Not sure it was all that effective. The previous owner loved his DIY that's for sure...

The plaster blew as I was steaming the paper off. It was shabby to start and I am careful, it was inevitable unfortunately.

This stuff is a heavy duty car body filler. 2 part epoxy but, boy,
is it easy to sand in comparison to anything else I've used?!!

Rad comes off...

Skim filling...

Rubbing it down flat...

Starting my wash coat - getting a hole in the knee.
Every pair of work trousers is headed this way.
Pretty annoying when it happens though.

There is far too much dust in my phone... anyway the patch is now invisible.
(Although, the paint was still wet)

I put the curtain poles up.

Bit dark, but the rad looks good...

The back wall that has the bulgy line down it. It's to be papered on. No lining paper just skimmed and painted. Finished by Tuesday, today - wednesday just rubbed down and double coated the patch on the left hand side.

00421_Jones (Burnham-on-Crouch)

Furniture painting, oh and the front door. (just a rub down and fresh coat)

At Mum & Dads. They've been after me doing this for ages. Had a spare 3 day slot.

Dining room a bit of a bomb site... sorry Mum x

Two undercoats and two tops (knotted too, of course)

Front door and garage door rubbed down sugar soaped and re-glossed.

00420_Hammond (Norsey Road)

A little way up the road from Mr & Mrs Hayden.
They liked my card, hand delivered to the door last year I think.

Hall, stairs and landing. Re-coating handrail.

We kept with the same colour on the walls, we just wanted a better finish and to be more durable.

Wrapping up the handrails in order to prime, undercoat then satinwood.

And then the final touch to the handrail - a water based durable satin finish.

(ps; please excuse the grey spots on some of the shots my phone gets FULL of dust no matter what I do)
