They are Builders, and they're quite handy.
The place was pretty dusty last week. The marble fitters were in the bathrooms and laying the floor in the hallway. The family of the lady of the house have been in the business for a few generations, and marble is a very strong feature of the house.
With all the hustle and bustle I forgot to take any pics, so here are the finals apart from the bannisters.
The walls were papered above the dado. It wasn't painted too well before so there was that little bit of extra prep to do. Obviously ceilings/walls and all woodwork, aside bannisters, have been prepared and painted.
The handrails were mahogany, stained in mahogany.
This is a cellulose based stain. I mix different colours together to get what I want and then we protect it for the weekend.
